Tomorrow, E will finally (barring any last minute complications) be having his hernia surgery. It is outpatient surgery, and we should be home with him by the end of the day. According to friends who have children who've had this type of operation, they'll be back to bouncing around by that night. All that being said, we're still feeling the nerves in our tummies, and we're still wishing that he was safely on the other side of the procedure. Please pray for E's rest tonight, for a quick and complication-free procedure tomorrow, for skill for the doctor and those assisting him, for discernment for the anesthesiologist, for his recovery to be rapid and complete, for God to bring total healing to his little body, and for us to feel peace in the knowledge that God is in control.
You know how I am about my boys. I'm working hard not to let that knot in my tummy become foremost in my thoughts. The greatest and most certain distraction for me in ANY situation, is a great laugh. Today, I am thankful for laughter, for humor, for wit in all its forms. So, laugh and be thankful! Won't you join me in a laugh curtesy of The Fail Blog?
